Configure shipping options for your BookWish store.

Shipping Integration

BookWish uses EasyPost for shipping label generation and tracking.

Setting Up Shipping

  1. Go to Shop > Settings > Shipping
  2. Connect your EasyPost account (or use BookWish's shared rates)
  3. Configure your shipping preferences

Carrier Selection

Supported carriers include:

  • USPS (recommended for books)
  • UPS
  • FedEx

Rate Configuration

Set up shipping rates based on:

  • Flat rate - Fixed price per order
  • Weight-based - Calculated from book weights
  • Free shipping - Absorb shipping costs (above order threshold)

Shipping Zones

Define different rates for:

  • Local (same state)
  • Regional (nearby states)
  • National

Package Settings

Default Package Dimensions

Configure standard package sizes for:

  • Single book orders
  • Multiple book orders
  • Large format books

Packing Materials

Track packing material costs to factor into shipping calculations.

Label Generation

Creating Labels

  1. Open order details
  2. Click "Create Shipping Label"
  3. Confirm package weight and dimensions
  4. Select carrier/service
  5. Print label

Batch Label Printing

For multiple orders:

  1. Select orders from the list
  2. Click "Generate Labels"
  3. Download PDF with all labels

Tracking

Automatic Updates

Once shipped, tracking information is:

  • Added to the order automatically
  • Sent to the customer via email
  • Updated in real-time

Customer Notifications

Customers receive:

  • Shipment confirmation with tracking number
  • Delivery confirmation
